Mumbai–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper gets green signal; what travellers can expect now

Indian Railways has approved a new Vande Bharat Sleeper train connecting Mumbai and Bengaluru, aiming to significantly reduce travel time to an estimated 15-17 hours. This premium service, featuring 16 modern sleeper coaches and a capacity of 823 passengers, will operate via the Kalyana Karnataka region, enhancing overnight travel comfort and offering a competitive alternative to flights.
